Ben Carson

On Tuesday the year 5, 6, 7, and 8 went to the Telstra Clear Events Center to see Ben Carson. We took a bus there it was cool because room 16 went on a bus but others and I went on a different bus because we couldn't fit on the bus with room’s 16 and room 21. We went with the intermediate people. But I wished that I went with my own class because the seniors made lots of noise in side the bus and was talking and screaming to much.

When we got there we waited out side the Event Center for a little wile and then a man came out side and took us in to the Events Center. It was cool because lots of people in Pointengland school including me got to see our old schools. I saw my old school it name was Otahuhu primary school when you go there you get to wear non uniform that was my favorite school ever.

When we got in the Events Center I went way up top and sat down but there are these sets and they are so cool because when you walk up to the set you have to pull the set down to sit. Anyway when Ben Carson came up to the stage he introduced him self. Then he told us all about his child hood when he was young. After he told everyone about his mother when she was looking after Ben when he was so young and when he was a little kid.

When he had finished talking about him and his mother he told us all about !reading! he said Reading is good to read and if you read a lot you will be brainy and you will be as good when you grow up. When Ben Carson had finished we walked out of the Events Center and these people gave everyone an up & go drink and a fresh clean, yummy, Josey apple. We had to eat it when we got back to school but no one did eat it when we got back to school they eat it when they walked out of the Events Center. I had a very grate time at the Event Center it was so good to make new friends right away.

Katrinas Ice Cream Comet

Have you ever had a ice cream comet be for?

On Monday after lunch Mrs Marks peppered ice cream cons, ice cream, different kinds of biscuit's on the fish table. It was so cool because we got to watch Mrs Marks hit the biscuits with one of the cooking stickies.

After that Mrs Marks gave each person a ice cream cone. Then we had to wait in a line to get our ice cream on our cone but like all ways I waited until every one had finished getting the ice cream.

When Mrs Marks had finished all of us got to dip our Ice cream in to the rocks and dust biscuits and when we eat it.

I felt a different textures in my mouth with all thous different biscuits but it just keeps melting down my fingers and it made a sticky mess on my hands as well.

When it got to the end it felt nice and crunchy in side of my mouth and that was the beast crunchy, delicious, Icy cold, sticky mess, melting Ice cream comet i have ever had in my life.

Katrina Aussie Rules

Have you ever played a game called Aussie Rules before? We have been learning the skills that are required to play Aussie Rules. When you play Aussie Rules you need to get into teams and then you have to get one ball for your team.

How to play Aussie Rules. First one person from each team has to hold the ball up in the air and two other kids from another team have to go up and try to hit the ball to the person behind them.

In Aussie Rules you have to hit it from your right or left hand. You don’t throw it like you are playing baseball. That would just be unexpected and wrong.

So if you are able to get to Aussie Rules sometime, you will have lots of fun with Michael, Lucy, and Megen learning lots of fun new things that we have not learn't before.

My Cross Country

My class room 15 had a cross country day. When the 9 year old girls had to go up and have their race
M we had to run around our whole school 5 times to make it into the finals.

When my friend Violet ran past me she said “come on”, and when she said that she gave me some encouragement. I started to run past her racing to the finish line. I just beat her by an inch and I beat her for the ninth time.

When I ran past the finish line I saw my teacher and he said to me “well done”, and I was so happy to come first again.
